NEUROMODULATORS (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport)

Botox®

Botox® is an isolated and purified medical grade of Botulinum Toxin. It works by relaxing facial muscles and smoothing wrinkles. Although popular for its role in facial rejuvenation, Botox® can also be used to treat axillary hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating from the armpits.

  • How does it work?

Smoothing wrinkles: Botox® is injected into specific areas of the face where it relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles.

Axillary hyperhidrosis: Botox® is injected into points around the armpit and the protein in the injection prevents the glands from producing sweat.

  • Which areas of the face is it best for?

Botox® is ideal for treating wrinkles around the brow and forehead areas. It is particularly effective in treating the glabella (vertical lines between the eyebrows), crow’s feet (wrinkles at the outer corners of the eyes), and horizontal forehead lines.

  • How long does a treatment take?

As with any injectible, the length of treatment depends on the areas that need to be addressed and whether additional treatments need to be made simultaneously. *You can expect most treatments to take 15 to 30 minutes.

  • Is it painful?

No, you can expect to have a painless experience. Depending on your pain threshold, we may numb the area with a topical anesthetic to ensure your comfort.

  • How long do the results last?

*Initial results typically appear within 48 hours, with full results appearing in 2 weeks. Results can last up to 6 months, depending on various factors such as lifestyle.

  • Are there any risks?

As with any injection treatment, there is a small risk of infection. We take great care to ensure this risk is minimized.
